Sally Thompson

Sally has delivered high-quality property condition assessments, reserve fund studies, performance audits and engineering related to building renewal since 1990. Sally strongly believes that clients value sound, reliable advice over the lowest price, but in exchange, can be counted on to give 100% to everything she does.

For the Synergy team (and for the condominium industry as a whole), Sally is the go-to person for all things condominium. She is the author of Condo Questions and Answers, a book written to help condominium owners and directors understand condominiums better. Her extensive industry involvement, combined with her technical expertise, makes her an invaluable resource. Sally has managed significant business units and sat on corporate boards. She provides guidance and acts as a role model for the next generation of engineers and building scientists at Synergy.

In addition to her commitment to Synergy, Sally is an avid volunteer. She is the Past-President of the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute and Past-President of the Canadian Chapter of the Community Associations Institutes, and she continues to chair several of their committees. She also volunteers with Tarion, Professional Engineers Ontario, ACMO, and the Condominium Authority of Ontario. Over the past decade, Sally has consulted as an expert in public consultations on the Condominium Act and is frequently invited to present at conferences and seminars.

For fun, Sally enjoys reading, learning, attempting to prevent the financial decline of the condominium industry, and spending time with her family, including her three grandchildren.
