Held by the EIFS Council of Canada, 240 Markland Dive is recognized for its innovative deep retrofit design.
The project transformed an outdated 1960s building into a more modern and sustainable building, revitalizing the community while significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The exterior masonry walls, windows, balcony slabs, roofs, joint sealants, and mechanical systems were in poor condition. Wall over-cladding, roof assembly replacement, and window/door replacement allowed the design team to optimize the new mechanical systems.
The project was a collaboration between Synergy Partners, IBI Group and Ecovert.
